Hughes latest

Just a couple of things I would like to share:

1. MY PREGNANCY

So, I just got my "your pregnancy at 37 weeks" email on Tuesday and I can't believe we are that close to having a baby! This has seriously been the easiest pregnancy that anyone could ask for. All of my pregnancies have been easy, so I didn't expect it to be hard, but I didn't know it could get easier! I have not been tired at all. I still go to bed between 11:30 and 12:30 every night, and then take a short nap during the day. But I did that when I was not pregnant. The only thing that bothers me is when the baby kicks my bladder and I don't feel like getting up to go to the bathroom. That is really annoying. The other amazing thing is that I have only gained 4 kilos this pregnancy! That is about 9 pounds! That is like unheard of for me. I have always gained at least 30 lbs when I am pregnant. I just haven't been very hungry and so I don't eat very much. That seems to have done the trick. :)

And speaking of the baby... we have for sure decided on the name Brandon! We have liked that name since we got married, and are finally deciding to use it on our 4th son. I don't know what has taken us so long. We are 90% sure of the middle name, but we will keep it to ourselves for now so we reserve the right to change it if we want. :)

Here is a decent picture of me from Sunday if you are curious how big this baby is getting. :)

2. The Branch

This is mostly for Chrissy and Jen, but the rest of you may be interested as well. As of Sunday, the Darmstadt Military Branch has been dissolved! Our Branch President moves back to the states on August 3 and we were down to about 40 attending Sacrament meeting, so they have decided to send us to the Frankfurt International ward. I have heard a lot of interesting things said about the Frankfurt ward, but I will wait to judge it until I have actually gone.
I have really, really loved our Branch for the 3 years we have been here! It has taught me so much about serving in my calling and the people have been so good to each other. I have learned valuable lessons that I hope will stay with me forever and have made me a much better person. I am happy for the decision for them to close it at this time though. Both the Relief Society President and myself as the Primary President were carrying a big responsibility. Once the warm weather came, both our counselors started traveling, so there was a lot of planning each Sunday that was all on one person, and it was getting tiring. Also, with me having a baby in 3 weeks, it is going to be much less stressful for me to just be able to go to church without having to do a sharing time, and to have Steve sitting on the bench with us will be wonderful!! It is perfect timing as far as that is concerned.

I took pictures of the boys on Sunday just because they all looked so cute. The sun came out to shine right in their eyes as soon as I got out the camera.

Teresa you look so cute as a pregnant person. I can't believe that I have 10 nieces/nephews and I can only remember actually seeing a sister of mine pregnant in person a couple of times. Your boys are adorable, Nathan looks very mischievous!!

Teresa, you look fabulous! Don't you love it when your body cooperates during pregnancy? When I was pregnant with Hannah, I had only gained 10 pounds the entire time. With the other 2 I gained the typical 30. Anyway, way to go on looking so great!!

Ditto- Teresa, You look incredible!!! I seriously can't believe you're 37 weeks prego. Wow. It really isn't fair. With my first two I didn't gain too much weight. I always figured that was my reward for throwing up for 4 months. It's not fair that you get it good both ways. I guess you deserve it though, after all the other medical stuff you've had to deal with. Can't wait to see picts of little Brandon.

Um, 9 pounds!! What? How did that happen? I remember you not eating much while we were there, but I thought that would change. You are so lucky. I think one of my ankles is 9 pounds right now. I've gained enough weight to start swelling and have my arms fall asleep. You really do look SOOOOOOOO good! I'm glad you feel good too. I can't believe your baby is coming so soon. That means mine follows soon after. Wow. That went fast huh? When will Brandon and Ava meet?

Jen was here a day ago visiting and we were just talking about the future of the DA branch. That is some sad news but it does get hard when there are few to fill the shoes. From what I have heard the Frankfurt ward isn't much bigger so I am sure it won't be long before they rope you into another calling.

I am also glad you posted how far along you are. For the life of us we couldn't remember. 3wks to go YAHOO!! I will be checking regularly from now for news of the new one.

The boys are cute as ever! Jacob looks so German in his little vest. Give them a hug from us. Look for Jens posts next week. She has reserved the posting rights on her visit to UT. I will sneak a picture in hopefully on Sunday when they return :P

Hey Teresa,
What a handsome family you have! All the boys (yes, even Steve) look so dapper in their suits and ties! I can't believe how long your hair is getting! I think it's longer now than when you got married - it's all those pregnancy vitamins! You sure look great! I think most pregnant women take on this wonderful "glow" - and sista' you are glowing!!
Can't wait to see you and the "boys". Talk about testosterone overload! Hee Hee

1. Congrats on the 9 pounds but I gained less with each of my nine pregnancies.
2. Brandon is a great name. I want to suggest "cowboy" as his middle name. "Arthur" also has a nice ring.
3. Handsome Hughes boys.
4. Steve has excellent taste in ties. After all, it is all...well, you know.
5. Sorry about the Branch, but who knows what great experiences could be in store because of it.

So glad you posted a preggo pic and since I know one can't hear it enough, you do look fabulous!!! Well, I guesse it was time for the ward to go. All said and done it was the ward I most cherished and loved being a part of. Man, I do miss it!

I love this blog and seeing everyone all dressed up. You look beautiful (different than fabulous). I can hardly wait to meet Brandon, I can't believe it is getting so close. The closer we get to meeting him, the longer I want to stay. Dad just keeps saying, "the tickets are bought."
